If you are ever looking for unique motorsport events to attend, each of these tracks are worth the visit. Every location has its own distinct features and one-of-a-kind events that make them special.

Charlotte Motor Speedway
Just outside of Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina, is the home of Charlotte Motor Speedway. CMS is one of four tracks located in Concord, owned by Marcus Smith and Speedway Motorsports Incorporated. Some highlight features of CMS would include the two NASCAR races held there each year. Every spring, on Memorial Day weekend the NASCAR community joins together for the Coke 600. The Coke 600 is NASCAR’s longest race of the season. It is also one of the most prestigious races, honoring those who have served. To return to Charlotte in the fall, is a completely different experience.
The fall race at Charlotte Motor Speedway known as the ROVAL. This a mix of road course and oval track racing. Both races are intense in its own right. The length of the Coke 600 and the complexity of the ROVAL are sure to challenge drivers. CMS offers several unique viewing areas that most other tracks do not. The Speedway Club is a restaurant located in the tower of the track. Speedway Club members can see all of the on track action during a race weekend while dining. There is also the opportunity to live at the track. Purchasing a condo at CMS allows occupants to view the race from their living room.
Depending where you are on CMS property, you can see three more tracks. ZMAX Dragway, The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Ten Tenths Motor Club.
ZMAX Dragway
In 2008, ZMAX Dragway made history. The dragstrip was the first four lane dragstrip to be built. In 2018, The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway was reconstructed. It then became the second four lane dragstrip in the country. The 2025 season will be the first year the NHRA will race four wide in both the spring and fall at ZMAX. In years prior, the fall playoff race, only utilized two lanes. This year, everything changes.
The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway
Nestled between Charlotte Motor Speedway and ZMAX Dragway is the Dirt Track. Each November, the track hosts The World of Outlaws Season Finals.
Ten Tenths Motor Club
New to the collection of Charlotte based race tracks, the road course made its debut in October 2024. A ground breaking event took place on the property on October 10th, 2024. The inaugural Heritage Invitational would take place at the track during Auto Fair 2025.

Bristol Motor Speedway
Bristol Motor Speedway, also known as “The Last Great Colosseum” provides quite the experience for motorsport fans. Nestled in the mountains of Bristol, Tennessee the half-mile oval provides more than great racing. Many exciting events have been held there like concerts and football games. The speedway will host the MLB for the first time in August 2025.
Bristol Dragway
Often referred to as “Thunder Valley,” the dragway is strategically placed between the Tennessee mountains. The track neighbors Bristol Motor Speedway. Both are known for the thunderous sounds they deliver throughout the mountainous area.
Daytona International Speedway
Located in Daytona Beach, Florida, Daytona International Speedway is home to many prestigious events. The track hosts events like the Daytona 500, the Rolex 24hrs at Daytona, and Daytona Supercross. DIS is also home to One Daytona a unique concept for shopping and living across the street from the track. It is also minutes from the beach making it a perfect location. The Motorsport Hall of Fame of America also lives at Daytona International Speedway. This gives visitors a chance to take in motorsports history while at the track.

Gainesville Raceway
Out in the swamp land of Florida, you will find a drag strip. It is home to some of NHRA Drag Racing’s most historic milestones. Some include breaking the 300mph speed barrier in a Top Fuel Dragster and the 200mph speed barrier in Pro Stock Motorcycle. Also, Big Daddy Don Garlits lives a few hours away. His elaborate museum sits on the same property and is well worth the visit.
